The battle was on once Patrick announced to be contending for the congress house of representatives. Rigell was the man to go back for the throne where he had served from the year 2010. Considering the influence that Patrick had to the people, she was not going to let it easy for the man to go back there. She had the vigor to keep Rigell off the seat and carry on with her manifesto she believed was the best for the Virginia people.
To get involved in a campaign for the congress position, you have to stand with a party. Patrick Suzanne-Washington politician who ran for office however felt that her competitor Rigell was so much onto the party staff that he forgot his roles as the representative. This is a problem that has risen in other US states as well due to issues with Leaders tend to remain cohesive to their original parties to the level of not recognizing the other aspects that affect the people they represent even if they belong to other parties. Suzanne had credit for this point being brought out and was willing to make changes by her being a bipartisan. She was to consider suggestions from people of the other parties because as she said they are all in Virginia after all and not by mistake.
Suzanne Patrick was with the democrat party. Rigell was on the other hand standing with Republican Party also wanted to have his position restored. These are the two parties that seem to govern the Virginia side of Washington. Things were therefore not going to be easy for either of the candidates with members evenly distributed within the district. A lot of campaigning was therefore observed each one of them trying to scoop and win as many supporters as he/she could.
Even retired presidents have influence of the candidates vying in the present. Patrick had worked with the government of president gorge Bush for the entire presidency term. She was even considered by the president for job well done and was promoted to be the deputy to the naval military secretary. Due to this good relationship, bush was on her side during this time of elections and this improved the The support gave Rigell even more pressure during the campaign with a significant number of people siding with Patrick.
You will expect that every two parties will be contradicting in many of the aspects. Patrick had chosen the Democratic Party and she had to stand by the principles it made. She however did her best with even coming up with other manifesto objectives that showed her concern for the people and the will for public service.
After the long vote hustling duration, the elections were on and Rigell won it however with a slight difference separating the two.
